Dr. Marc A. Suchard, MD, PhD is a Professor of Biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Professor of Biomathematics & Human Genetics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA specializing in biomathematical and biostatistical approaches to computational statistics, analyzing stochastic processes in molecular sequence data, longitudinal modeling of biomedical processes, and examining the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Suchard is helping to develop the nascent field of evolutionary medicine to advance the understanding of human disease processes, particularly in the study of rapidly evolving pathogens.
